No 200 f2.0 no care... [rofl]

Nah, really, that's a great lens. I wish they could build a 24-70 f2.8 with IS.

Next lens targets: 12-24mm Tokina, 70-200mm F/4L IS, and probably 85mm F/1.8.

The 85 1.8 is an amazing lens! Super fast to focus, USM, sharp as all hell and pretty inexpensive. Yeah the 85 1.2 L has better colors and contrast, plus smoother bokeh, but it's not $1500 better... lol

Oh man, I just pulled the trigger on the Tokina and the 85mm as well. Only the 70-200 remains in my target sight now...

Someone stop me lol.

I'd go for the 70-200 f2.8 non IS if I were you. That 2.8 opens up way more opportunities than IS IMO.

I vastly prefer the F/4 on the tele as it's much lighter. I'd hate to carry the 2.8 around. The IS imo is critical for a tele as well.

Lol, I'll be waiting awhile before I go FF. The next body I'll get is the 7D (aka the 60D), I'm going to stay crop for a bit longer. I just bought the Tokina ffs, I'd have to sell it right as it arrives to go 5D lol.

Good plan, that's the one I'm waiting for too, as I'm not 100% happy about Canon's current prosumer line. Should be a pwnage camera if the specs on Canon Rumours can be believed.

I've just ordered a cheap A200 to tide me over till then. I am currently scanning Ebay for bargain Minolta lenses

Great lens.

Just wish Nikon would bring out some Constant F4 Pro grade glass, as all theirs is a Constant F2.8 and to bloody expensive.

We feel the same in Sony/Minolta land. Minolta used to have an excellent 70-210 f/4, and users are dying for something modern like it. In addition, a nice 24-105mm f/4 would be great too..

Well, I can't really complain about my collection personally (since I do have a 28-135mm f/4 and 70-210 f/4, in addition to my 300mm f/2.8)...

But yes, i will grant that Canon at least does have those lenses.. [thumbup]

I got my 85mm 1.8 and Tokina 12-24mm now. Only the 70-200mm F/4 IS is left in my target...

The 85 1.8's great isn't it? For the price I don't think there's a better preforming lens for

Don't have to tell me. DoF anyone?

I think my 24-105 is a bit faster at focusing though.

Get it outside in some higher contrast. I haven't used the 24-105 very much, but I don't remember it being very fast to focus.

That 85mm 1.8 prime sounds interesting... I might actually think about it... I reckon it would be perfect for portraits and maybe some city/urban impressions don't you think?
