Just come back from the camera shop, here's my loot



Nikon D90 kit + bundle with a cheap bag and tripod (better then nothing [rofl])

So you're going to tell me after you just spent all that money on expensive camera gear you're going set it on top of a flimsy, cheap, unstable tripod 6 feet above the ground? Shame!

Lol its not that bad, actually pretty sturdy just not as sturdy as like say manfrotto or giottos

Will be getting a monopod when i'll really need it i think. Still trying to get familiar with the camera, D40 wasnt this complicated [rofl]

I got a Velbon Sherpa 250 and I'm pretty happy with it. Nice, sturdy and not too heavy at all. Much better quality than the crappy "travel"-Manfrottos I had (both broke).

i personally wouldnt mind upgrading soon to a canon 5d (mark I)...

If you do make sure you send it back to Canon to get their fix for the sub mirror reinforcement. They take it in and basically replace most of the mirror and shutter pretty much giving you a brand new camera! I've been debating this, but the killer is the 5D's auto focus is something I probably won't be happy with. I find my 40D lacking at times, and that's a generation ahead in the AF department.

btw for point and shoot cameras u can unscrew the top of your umbrella and use as monopod :-P i wouldnt do it for any dslr tho :P
