Default photoshop cs4 question.
i just downloaded ps cs4 trial and installed it with somewhat high hopes. (reason being this gpu acceleration and promised performance improvements).

now this is not exactly apples to apples comparison i know, but it feels soooo much slower then cs3 for mac.

plus i hate way they make the menus/frame of the window look for pc. its as if they wanna make pc version worse.

do you think cs4 is slower then cs3 or is it just me ?

While I can't say it feels slower, I don't see any real speed advantage either. I guess for my "simple" photo work, I don't really push it, but I really don't see much (if any) difference.

the only difference i realized is smooth zooming or things like scrolling around the photo. but once you are working with 50-70mb tiff even that starts to disappear.

thats weird. i only feel the difference when it comes to scrolling photo around or zooming in out and very simple stuff like that. but even the filters seem to take longer. having said that cs3 for pc ran equally fast as cs3 for mac.

The 64-bit one feels really snappy compared to CS2 that I've been using. Welcome changes imo.
