Actually you seem the type that would like that. I could live in one. I love history!

What museums have you been to? What are your favorites?

My all time favorite since I was a little Ted is The Museum of Science, in Boston. I just went to the Peabody Essex museum the other day for school and had some fun.

Living so close to D.C. I have been to the Smithsonian Museums quite a few times. I usually make a point out of seeing museums when I am on vacations in Europe. The art museums in London are among my absolute favorites.

One of my favorite museums that I've been to was the Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago. I also been to the History Museum and Planetarium there.

I've been to a bunch of car museums and music museums in Nashville that were pretty cool.
Funny thing is, I've been living in Florida for nine years and I've never been to the museum in Tampa called MOSI, but I have been to the museums at Space Kennedy.

I was an Art History major in college, so I have WAY too many favorites, but here are few.....uh....notable favs.

Musee D'Orsay - Paris
The Louvre - Paris
The Tate Gallery - London
The Whitney Museum - NYC
The New Museum - NYC
The MoMA - NYC
The Met - NYC
The Guggenheim - NYC

I also *love* art galleries, actually often moreso than museums. I worked in a SoHo gallery on Broadway for a while. It was fab. Lots of young talented contemporary artists. Lots of fun installations and photography. I miss it greatly.

I've been to:

Denver Metropolitan Museum ( I think that's the name.)

J. Paul Getty Estate Museum (California) - This palace is gorgeous and full of beautiful works of art!! I highly recommend this place to everyone!!

Tokyo Museum ( I'm not really sure what this place was called, it was in Japanese and back in '82) - A gorgeous place, I went during the "Cherry Blossom Festival" ENCHANTING!! It was utterly mind-blowing to see the Japanese works of art!

Local Corpus Chrisi, museum (yawn), really it was ok, but too small!

Man....I've been to so many in my childhood I don't even remember close to a quarter of 'em...have to check my picture albums. Both Ted mentioned I've been to...many times over to each. Love the Museum of Science in Boston...that Omni Theater is the sh*t! I know I've been to a couple in NY, DC and PA along with pretty much every single historical site of Massachusetts I wouldn't mind visiting these places again now that I'd actually appreciate 'em all more...

We don't really have any museums here. What we do is very small! You need an appoitment before you go!

The closest would be in Pittsburgh. I went to COSI (a science museum) In like 8th grade!

I would sooooo LOVE to go to one like you see on TV!

I think I could easily spend all day in one!

There are lots of museums here, but too many to name. Mainly Texas History type museums. There was a museum that opened here last year that has an IMAX screen in it. I want to go check it out sometime.

Can't say that I've ever been to any museums other than two in Australia that Ben and I visited. Actually, pardon me, Ben worked for one of them. He was an exhibitions officer at the South Australian Museum in Adelaide. So he basically did all the work behind the exhibitions.. for instance when I left.. he was still working on the Alosaurus. I believe.. is that correct, Ben? Anyway, we also visited the Art Museum next door
