Instruction books
I've never been able to sit down and read a full one yet, unless it's only 2 or 3 pages long of course.

I have no interest in reading the 'Classics' either which includes Shakespear, Charles Dickens, etc.
The romance novel is another no no.

I'll admit I'm not much of a reader, unless it's fashion mags. But, if I do read a book I really like books that put a twist on different beliefs and theories. Something that will make you look at an idea in a completely different way.

I stay far, far away from romance novels. Definately not my style.

I don't care for Romance novels much, however, I will read Jude Devereaux's historical romances. At least I have read them.....not lately though, so maybe they're off my list.

I don't read real scientific sci-fi novels. I just don't get the lingo.

Books I DONT read:

Not that interested in Cornwell or Grisham, stories just a bit too formulaic for me.

ROMANCE??? I dont think so. Not my style.

Default what are the books that u DON'T read?
What are the kind of books that u DON'T read?

For me, I stay away from romance novels...the sappy, syrupy ones. It's like reading something that is totally unrealistic and fairytale-like. It's just not my style.

I also stay away from novels by Patricia Cornwell...i used to be a big fan of hers but her work has become worse and worse over the years. I also don't read Sidney Sheldon (too formulaic) and John Grisham, although I read them too when I was younger.

What about u guys?

Another one who hates Romance books here!

And I'll go along with Sketcher when it comes to Shakespeare! I can't understand why anyone would want to read that tripe. I know it's a great example of colourful prose. Many sayings and phrases from these novels have become part of our vocabulary, but it's still goddam awful. If they converted them into modern English, then yes, the stories would be good, but I just can't get over the old fashioned language.
