Default is this a good camera?
Hey guys, I lost my Olympus F100 4MP camera a few months ago, (misplaced somewhere in our house)

Anyways a friend of mine gave me his Canon Powershot S2 IS 5MP camera. Didnt want money or anything for it. Its a very big camera compared to my Olympus camera. Is this a good camera?

I have read some reviews on it, and general concenius is that is a good camera, but im wondering what you guys think? Steal of a deal, or was the camera just a hand me down because its crap?

It's the SIS series, these are some of the best p&s's canon makes.
thing is, this camera was one of the best out there when it was new, but it's pretty old,
there are S1IS, S2IS, S3IS and S5IS which is the most recent one on this series.

I say leave the good\bad camera debate aside, and see if it's good enough for you because
this is all that matters.

Well alright. There are so many options with the camera. Its a shame that my friend only had the box left and no manual. And the online manual is over 160 pages.

It takes some great pics so far, but I know with the settings tweaked this camera could be really awesome.

s2/3 and 5is are all great bridge cameras, although not much great things i can say about their sensors and their high iso performance, they really all have great lenses on them that produces great sharp images.
