Hi
Anyone of you got Photoshop CS3... and actually been able to install it? I downloaded the trial version, but unfortunately I'm getting nowhere. The installation just freezes at "currently installing shared components". I've been googled the error messages and tried to find the ultimate answer but so far, no chance. Even used the adobe cleanup tool to no avail. The installation just stops right there. Anyone of you experienced this already? Any idea? ![]() |

why does every one blame Vista for all the problem [rofl] more like they got lazzzzzy and did not make there S H I T up to par Oh, and on my PC if I run my SATA DVD drive and attempt to run TF2, which is on my SATA HD, I BSOD. Blame Vista, blame the manufacturers, blame drivers, blame Canda or whatever but all I know is that I had none of these problems with Windows XP even pre SP1 install. Nah, it's XP SP2. No clue why it's doing that What programs are you running? Antivirus? Windows Defender? The issues I've heard about are at the exact same point in installation you're talking about. The best explanation I've heard about the issue is that there's some piece of security software stopping it from installing some files. I assume the files are some sort of driver, or something related to software activation. In Vista I think the trick was to kill defender, disable UAC, and run as administrator and eventually you'd get it to work. Sort of a "jiggle the handle" fix. |

I blame Vista for everything. Vista + SATA = Nightmare. I built a brand new PC for someone last night. P5N-E SLI, 8800GT, E4500. Made the mistake of picking a SATA DVD & HD. I had to drive home, search the net, and download new drivers just to get windows to finish installing. ![]() I haven't tried but I don't think trying to install it in safe mode would work... EDIT: was just thinking... if I turn off ZA, maybe the XP firewall turned itself on and that might have caused the problem? |
