Default My computer.. In 3D
Well I was bored. So I started to model my PC. Just finished the front bezel of the case.

Whoever guesses what case it is gets a cookie. And I'm using 3dsmax 9 for anyone that cares. Now to start on the main part of the case.

Nice job.
How do you do it? Take measurements of various parts of the case, and enter it in the 3d rendering program?

Next you'll have to edit the material in 3dsmax

Thanks, but no, i dont enter in measurements for the program to do it for me. Its all hand modelled from a basic 6 sided box.

ok. Well that's still a very nicely modeled case, are you planning to assign material/texture to it?

wouldn't you just use a material shader for the whole thing?

looks great though and coming from 3D modelling a few years back i know how hard it is to do this, the 3DSMAX user interface is something i really could get to grips with so i only used it with vray for rendering and used wings3D for modelling.

Keep us updated!

no, material shaders for everything wouldnt work, what about all the circuit strips ect on the mother board, graphics card ect, and the stickers on the PSU, and harddrive? cant do that with shaders. most of the stuff will just be photo textured though.
