Default 350D view finder blury
When looking through the view finder of my camera, it looks kinder blurry... It looks like its smudge that wont clean. Ive used brushed, lens pens and even cotton buds (queue tip) to clean it. I have come to a conclusion that its not on the outside of the camera, but inside the camera body...

Over time, i have also noticed that the red focus lights ain't as bright and the bottom on is again blurry...

Should i take it into a camera shop and have them give it a once over? Or is there any manual fixes i can do?

Cheers

This is probably pretty elementary, but you should check to see that over time you haven't adjusted the diopter; its the little wheel just to the right of the viewfinder and below the hotshoe. If the light colored line on the wheel doesn't line up with the corresponding center line on the body, you'll see lots of blur. The odds are that you've already checked this, but just in case you haven't...

The dipoter adjustment wheel does not necessarily need to line up with the center mark - as it depends on your eyes - thats the whole point of this wheel, so you can make adjustments.

bascially, turn it whilst looking through the viewfinder and see if the sharpness changes.

I guess I just assumed that he's at a fairly normal level as far as the diopter is concerned simply because at its stock setting the wheel is aligned with the little line, and that would mean that if he did have some vision problem, it would have been visible immediately upon purchasing the camera.

Either way, I'm interested to know whether or not this was the case so that we can find see how else to remedy it...
