It'll probably be a pretty solid camera I had an A20 years ago and it was a really nice camera.

If you are thinking of a camera of that size, in other words not a compact you might be able to get a better camera for not much more.

Im looking at getting a Fuji S5600 which you can pickup for less then £200.

I'd say compared to that Fuji the Canon is a compact. They are both fairly good cameras though but I guess the Fuji has more/better features.

I'm a beginner and was recommended to get the a620, the bigger brother of the a610, which I did. Tons and Tons of features on this thing, I was sort of confused when I first got it but I've been reading the manual and reading a guide about it and I'm learning. I really like the camera, and there are lots of features that you will be able to grow into later. Also the battery life is great, I've taken over 200 pictures with the camera and havn't charged the batteries yet! [thumbup]
