Default 350D memory card
Which card or speed to go for? I have seen a 1gb 80x speed card, will this be ok?

IIRC it works fine with upto 90x cards (lexars 8GB) not 100% though, been a while since I looked.

For a 350D most CF cards will be fine, even the slower ones - as the limiting factor in most cases is the buffer on the camera, not the speed of the card.

On the slightly higher range cameras such as the 20/30D and above, which have larger buffers, then the card speed becomes more important if you want to do continious shooting.
