I haven't seen this trend, but can you cite any specific incidences?

But to be frank, hindi songs are always in trend, and are only second to English in Metropolitan areas.

Even big music directors like IR and ARR opt to name hindi singers when asked if they had a preference.

One name is Mohammed Rafi and the other Latha Mangeshkar. I have never heard Rafi and rarely Latha. So I can't really vouch for the reasons. But Hindi cinema and songs are have more national reach. That may be the reason.

Default TFM Singers and their love for Hindi Songs
I have seen this a lot of times. Whenever u call a Tamil playback singer for an interview or a show in a tamil tv channel, immediately they wud start off singing hindi songs..They wud go on saying how great those singers were etc etc.. I dont want to take the names of the singers..but i am not able to understand this trend. Can t they sing the gems from MKT or TMS or P Susheela.

I feel the new age singers do it more...is this right??

I dont disrespect HFM or its singers..but why this trend..
