1. bangkok has an ice rink
2. there are tons of books on figure skating available at all major bookstores
3. there is even a transmission of skating on ubc in their usual repeat-100-times fashion
4. thailand wants and has the potential to be a leading nation
5. ...and is finally accepting that their are other sports besides muay thai, golf, weightlifting and tennis

HOW COME NOT EVEN THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES IS BEING TRANSMITTED ON TV?????

Yes I have skated at the Imperial World Samrong ice ring at Samut Prakan province Thailand, I guess Thailand is not all that competitive in the winter Olympics, so the coverage is poor.
