In many cases, the name is chosen by a monk or astrologer. There is also a book to help choose names.

Gor wrote about how he chose his daughter's name on the web site:

The nickname of his daughter, Grace, was actually chosen by forum members!

Default Book on thai names?
Hello everyone,
I am curious about how Thai parents find a name for their newborn? Do they consult an astrologer?

Also, is there a book out there that lists Thai names (Thai baby names book for example)?

Thank you!
