I see in todays west its reported that Peel has been given an extra $12,000 grand in the salary cap, plus another 12 points in their points allocation.
And yet when Perth wanted to see if they could get Sibosado a points reduction they wouldn't allow it, seems like a fair bit of favoritism to get that white elephant they created up and going. |

You got to be kidding me? I mean this is what i have been suggesting should happen for struggling clubs that have been down for a long time but as you say, why wouldn't we be granted the same concession? I don't think Peel were in the competition last time we played finals. I hope our club is making a lot of noise about it because i know will be.

Two sets of of rules hey!
When i was looking at the Peel list the other day i couldnt help but wonder "where are there local players" ? At least 2/3 rds of there team (How many AFL listed players do they have??) are made up of recruits and i thought then they must be sailing close to the points and salary cap allocation. The wafl will do anything to make this club work, anything!!!!! |

I have read the article which is hidden at the end of the Swans story about their financial problems. This concession should be a headline in itself. The reasons given by an unnamed source from the WAFC (the term "faceless men" springs to mind here), were that Peel struggled to attract recruits!! Ha ha ha, that is laughable. Peel recruits as successfully as any other club in the competition, the problem they have is holding into their recruits and their better players tend to want to join a suburban club (I don't call Mandurah a suburban area).
And further more, they have changed the rules after the points rules had already been amended (probably at the end of last year) and agreed to and signed off by all the WAFL clubs. I was told that was one of the reasons the WAFC could not make allowances for Perth to fit Sibosado in. Because the points rules had already been altered and agreed to and signed off on by all WAFL clubs. No more changes could be made until the end of the year. Where is the consistency? Time for the WAFC to be made accountable, they are becoming a joke and acting like mavericks lately. And here is an interesting stat for the WAFC. In the last 6 seasons Perth and Peel have played each other 18 times with Peel winning 10 and Perth winning 8. Peel got an almighty interest free hand out a couple of years ago while Perth copped a $10 000 fine (biggest in WAFL history), even AFL clubs cop lesser penalties and it was not even a salary cap breach. How much longer do we have to put up with this crap? |

How is Perth seen as being any better off and not worthy of the same concessions? Did we get a 9 million dollar facility built for us last year? And the last time i checked, the last time we played finals was in 1997 you clowns! |
