The following was posted on Footygoss and is titled:Past 30 years GF,Premierships and reasons for falling crowds in the wafl.
Good topic and thought it was worth a mention on here. Interesting to see who has played in GF’s in the past 30 years. 2 sides really do dominate - may give us some reason to the poorer crowds to finals and GF’s over the past 3 decades as well as “other” obvious issues such as AFL etc. Since 1980 Peel - 0 GF - 0 flags Perth - 0 GF - o flags East Perth - 4 GF - 3 flags West Perth - 6 GF - 3 flags Swan Districts - 7 GF - 5 flags East Fremantle - 8 GF - 4 flags South Fremantle - 10 GF - 4 flags Subiaco - 13 GF - 6 flags Claremont - 16 GF - 7 flags Real damning stats for us Perth supporters and surely motivation to get things right onfield to finaly make an assault on 1.The finals and 2.That elusive flag. To think Claremont have played in 16 GF's to our nil is mind boggling. |
