We have updated some areas of the site

- added fairest & best section under History -> Best & Fairest
- added player stats breakdowns under Stats -> Players
*- added club stats breakdowns under Stats -> Clubs*- update player details view to be show a more detailed stats breakdown

We will be adding some more enhancements during the off season We will be importing some more data such as past reserves and colts games results and stats

That's excellent news. What about past Rodriguez Shield winners and where each club came?

Yes one thing we are looking at doing is representing a lot of the information that is in the WAFL benchmarking booklet.One area of this is Rodriguez results.We already have a lot of the data compiled its just a matter of figuring out the best way to integrate it into the site and display it.

What's the timeframe on entering more detailed results from years gone by?

We've only got qtr by qtr scores going back to 2000, and goalscorers back to 1994.

Is there any plans to fill in the missing 100 years (give or take)?

How about a list of players who played in each game (assuming the information is at hand)?

There is data that exists for matches going back beyond 1994, such as team lists etc. However it is in different formats ranging from electronic spreadsheets to copied/scanned team sheets to paper records. The data is also available to different extents depending on the club, such as how far back the complete set goes without missing years.

We have discussed trying to get as much as we can in the site, however it is a massive task to collate the information from the various formats into the structure that the site needs. Then once that is achieved it is another massive task to try and align the variuos IDs used to link the information such as Player IDs, Match ID etc

Basically it is a work in progress that we do get to update in pieces as time permits. In saying this it is a great credit to the WAFL historians that do a great job in researching a lot of this information that we have been able to use. This research is slow progress and it is very hard to get accurate the further back things go.

- updated state team lists back to 2004
- updated state team stats back to 2006

In the stats players / clubs section you are able to return data by only choosing either "Western Australia" from the club drop down box, or "State" from the grade drop down box.

If you want club data you will still be required to choose all three filters

Cheers for the reply. I'm doing my own research and can understand the time it takes to get it done.

Would love to be able to cross-check my data against another source which doesn't involve trudging into the State Library and spending hours looking through microfilm.
