Look how much later Loeb is braking , and how rapid his acceleration is ...

rwd versus 4wd on loose gravel.
It should be faster even without the 25 years.

There are different circumstances .
Toivonen on video of 1985 is filmed during the rally, when Loeb just testing C4. Toivonen drive looking for a victory and Loeb to build a car as he likes. Two different thinks.

What's that light in C4 in the left front.
That point straight down.
They had in the DS3 on some test session, too.

I think that it is correvitt sensor which is used for measuring pitch and roll, speed in two axis, slip angle, and yaw rate. (Citing to Mirek)

Loeb video speeded up.
Im not sure, If it is, its by a very little amount and as mentioned about testing, he will have driven that stretch of road many times and now have his braking point perfected to the last few inches.

A more interesting and telling comparison to watch would be a late Delta S4 or Evo2 T16.

If I remember right Henri was driving one Costa Smeralda with Porsche (which he won) with his other foot in plaster and used crutches to move around.

same as loix in sweden a few years back...and he also did very good for Loix standards....i guess plaster makes driver foot heavier on gas ....

Why such a negative attitude ? No one posted "REVELATION" nearly as spectacular as you want to prove . Surely noone is surprised that the C4 is faster , but I am personally very much impressed by how much faster it is ( the way the power is brought to the ground , how much later it brakes and how MUCH faster it climbs up the hairpin - the 037 looks like a Trabant compared to it ) . So am I an idiot because I am impressed ?

I think there is a lack of surprise at the difference, largely because the 037 is a two-wheel drive car and the C4 is four-wheel-drive.

http://www.cnet.com.au/apple-imac-27...-339305280.htm

and comment how much better things are....i just don't think we need a thread for obvious things....and to be honest my post was more a reaction to the comments of the posters not the original thread.

Yeah, the lightweight 037 Abarth was only 2wd but still, they fairly (tightly though) defeated a multi million DM unreliable Audi Quattro armada in the 1983 manu championship.

How i miss Lancia...
