I'm opposed to the autocensor, since we invariably bypass it, it can't consider context (I graduated magna *** laude), it's annoying, and we don't have any kids on this site anyway.

However, if you want to work it so that every time somebody posts "nigger" the mods are notified of the post so they can ban the poster, I'm fine with that.

Well, when discussing the incident a few years back when a black woman bought a couch that was marked as "nigger brown," for example. But I'm not necessarily saying there is an appropriate context for that particular word, only that the autocensor in general can't judge from context.
