The "Ignore" Feature

I have one poster on ignore, but it is useless because he says things so mind-numbingly stupid he gets quoted anyway.

DianaDrk 04-28-2009 10:05 PM

That is actually another good reason not to use it. It won't always work anyway.

I put a poster on the list after he posted a page long message of the same phrase over and over... I couldn't be bothered scrolling through that kind of spam.

I enjoy the mind numbingly stupid posts. They are usually good for a laugh and I feel no compulsion to respond to them. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/dunno.gif

Then there's that.

Nashhlkq 04-28-2009 10:20 PM

I refuse to use it.

I have 16 people right now. It's amazing how much nicer the forum is.

Are there even 16 people who post at this forum anymore?

shodulsilfeli 04-28-2009 10:37 PM

I go through phases. Currently I have nobody on ignore. I have had up to a few hundred on ignore (after I wrote a script which sent an ignore request to the server every few seconds)

Eeaquzyh 04-28-2009 10:42 PM

It's easier when you're used to solitude, I presume.

WrigleyMike 04-28-2009 10:43 PM

I tried ignore once, but my curiosity kept getting the better of me.

syncFisee 04-28-2009 10:52 PM

I think Ming was the only person I had on ignore for a significant amount of time. Thanks again for that, KH. http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif

Can anybody living in the Arlington/D.C. area spare a sandwich or some chips ?

teergoBissono 04-28-2009 11:52 PM

I don't have anyone on ignore now. IIRC, I've only used it once, and I obviously didn't stick with it.

I used it a while ago, but then I'd always wind up clicking anyways.

Wiggy, walk into a Subway or similar restaurant, grab a bag of chips, and walk out. Nobody will chase you. They'll be too busy fantasizing about your sexy muttonchops.

JTS_tv 04-29-2009 12:21 AM

I have myself on ignore.

That's not possible. I've tried several times.

Drysnyaty 04-29-2009 01:04 AM

Like I said, 'pussies'...http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif

hernkingAnank 04-29-2009 01:19 AM

I don't use it. Ignore is for pussies.
