Default 'Flying Car' Goes to Market
I look forward to the day when drunk drivers on New Year's can take to the skies and crash their little planes into our kids' bedrooms.

The vehicles sell for $194,000.

How much is a small plane?
A small 2-seater Cessna skycatcher is around $110,000.

I think (if I had the money ) I would rather get the real plane plus a car and have money left over.

Why would they aim for children's bedrooms?
They're not capable of aiming, that's the whole point. What I mean is, ATM you only stand at risk of being killed by a drunk behind the wheel if you're near a road yourself. With CarPlanes (TM), anybody anywhere can be killed by some dude who's had one too many. Well, not yet, since they cost nearly two hundred grand, so only celebrity drunkards like Lindsay Lohan would be able to endanger us in that fashion. But as technology advances these things may become cheaper. Way of the future

I happen to agree; I don't think we need one. But we have one, nevertheless.

For the most part, the Tech Section is electronics related. You may find it hard to believe, but there are no threads on lawn mower advances either.
As far as who made me special, no one needed to make me special. The thread fits where I put it. Kind of like that #9 cork in your ass.

Flying cars will never become commonplace unless they are automated. People have enough trouble driving in two dimensions, I shudder to think of the consequences if they have to attempt three.

It was a joke, because space is the third dimension, and you have to move in space while driving... oh forget it.

But space is not the third dimension...

Maybe you're thinking of the Final Frontier?

Uh, space IS commonly referred to as the Third Dimension. Time is often called the Fourth Dimension.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimension

Classical physics theories describe three physical dimensions: from a particular point in space, the basic directions in which we can move are up/down, left/right, and forward/backward. Movement in any other direction can be expressed in terms of just these three. Moving down is the same as moving up a negative amount. Moving diagonally upward and forward is just as the name of the direction implies; i.e., moving in a linear combination of up and forward. In its simplest form: a line describes one dimension, a plane describes two dimensions, and a cube describes three dimensions.
