Well...I thought I would share my weight loss accomplishment here...which to be honest I thought I would never be able to do it....and I was desperate
In 2005 I weighted over 240 pounds or 110Kg, size 42 pants, XXL shirts Now I weight 193 pounds or 87Kg, size 36 and medium shirts My goal is 180 pounds or 80Kg, probably will reach it in couple of months ( I am 5' 9"/ 175cm) But I am so happy, the difference is HUGE, and I feel better and have more confidence and self esteem [yes] Before ![]() Now ![]() |

Congrats! Well I lost about 30 pounds across 3 years...I wasn't really doing any diet or exercise...but my normal activity was more and I was eating less..like I used to eat HUGE amounts of french fries and fried food..during the 3 years I was just eating french fries may be once a week or once every two weeks and switched to eating grilled stuff instead of fried and drinking diet sodas instead of regular. In the past couple of months I lost about 20 pounds because I started a diet just eating veggies and proteins...very few carbs and working out lifting weight at home like 3-4 times a week...for 20 minutes.. I still need to build more muscle though...but I definitely look WAY better than 2 months ago..and that's confirmed by everyone who saw me after the weight loss |

Congrats, i've lost a fair bit myself over the last year-
December '07- 14st 02lbs December '08- 12st 01lbs I'm 6ft and have basically achieved this by eating half the amount for dinner and smaller lunches, combined with exercising 3 times a week. I would be lighter if i didn't do the weight lifting as i've converted a lot of fat to muscle rather than just shedding it. I used to weigh around 10 stone until i quit smoking at age 19, but i think my ideal weight is to get down to around 11st 06lbs as i was way too skinny back when i smoked due to never having an appetite. Within 6 months of quitting smoking i had already put on around 2 stone in weight due to all the extra food i was eating! Now at age 27, i feel it's best to get myself healthy whilst i'm still young, as it will only get more difficult as you get older. |

Congratulations! It can be difficult but if you make dieting, cardio, and weight lifting a part of your life then it would benefit you greatly. It took me 5 years to build the body I want. I used to be "skinny fat" then just real skinny and now finally I consider myself fit after 5 years of hard work!
Keep pushing yourself. It won't be long before you realize you can lose weight, then you can lose more weight, then you can start bulking up, then cutting and as long as you are doing everything right and control yourself - you'll be like the guys from 300 in a year or so! |

Good on you mate!
From October 2007 to like March 2008 I went from 13 stones (182lbs) to 12 stones (168lbs) Probably not much considering the time but I was over the moon. I was able to achieve this as I was training for a dance show so all that training did good. But I felt really good about it, and you should too. Your confidence should also grow with it as well, especially when you hear people genuinely say "You look great". I went home for Christmas and all my family members who I haven't seen for ages all said I lost a lot of weight in my physical appearance and that they wouldn't have recognised me if I walked past them in the street. Booyah! |
