Default Your phone - what do you do with it?
I call poeple and receive calls.

Yay! I got the obvious stupid answer first! Take that LS!

As for the OP, I dont have a cell phone, neither do I want one.

Spec.

Email and SMS, mostly.

I use Google Maps.

I play Sudoku and watch YouTubes when I get bored.

I log into my home server and stream music and video.

Sometimes, I even make and receive calls on it!

The only phone I really use is for work

with that phone I keep in touch with my manufacturing facility via receiving and making calls, using the two way, and receiving SCADA reports (mostly alarms), and sometimes to receive short e-mails. Apart from that I don't use it.

I keep it in my pocket til the battery goes dead. Then, I plug it in in my office. Eventually, I check my messages and find out about all fun stuff i've missed.

I use mine as a paper weight in my brief case.
If I turn it on, someone may actually get a hold of me.
I only turn it on when I'm at the golf course and someone hasn't shown up yet. And for emergencies, (which I've never had one)

I usually get my daughter's or wife's old phone when they upgrade. I have no idea what features it has beyond making calls. One time I had it on and it rang, and I didn't even realize it and just wondered who's phone was ringing.

Who the heck wants to be reachable 24/7.

Who the heck wants to be reachable 24/7. I always think that as I drive by someone doing 25 in a 65 because they are too busy on the phone.

I don't know the majority of the numbers people have; they aren;t on my phone list, so caller ID doesn't work 100% of hte time for me. Could be anyone.

OK, that could be phrased better.

"I don't know the majority of my friends, family or work collegues phone numbers nor are tehy saved on my mobile phone, so I may not know who is calling me, hence caller ID is not sufficient."
