At a quick glance, at least FB looks more decent than MySpace.

What is there to do there? Forums or something? it depends. They have these "apps" that are little programs that either involve games, cutesy social interactions, or stuff like that. My daughters friend has like hundreds of them, but its easy to avoid them. You have a wall, which is like on your own personal message board for your friends to write on. You have a place to post pictures. You can privately message people (I know, there are a thousand other ways to do that).

For the kids, who all have dozens or hundreds of friends, its all about "friending people" and then seeing whos linked to whom, and then making contacts with your friends friends, etc, etc. For an old fogey like me, its a way to search for long lost pals. You can search fairly easily on college or high school by graduation year, for example.
