No, actually he's branching out this time .

Senator Norm Coleman is a Senator from Minnesota who favors keeping troops in Iraq. The ad is attacking the Senator for that.

Coleman is an R, but he's a different sort of R. He was a Democrat until recently and is a fairly liberal Republican. He opposed increasing troop levels in Iraq for one... but he doesn't support bringing all the troops home yet either.

That vote focused more attention on the MoveOn ad than it could otherwise hope for.

Thank God the U.S. Senate took time out its busy schedule to condemn that Gen. Petraeus ad run by MoveOn. I don't know if the republic could have survived without that crucial vote.

That said, when's there gonna be a vote condemning some right-wing attack ad?

Gatekeeper MoveOn is more popular among democrats than you seem to think. Also senators aren't that busy. Most of them spend their time whoring their votes out and eating with lobbyists.

Heh. Minnesota survived — and thrived — during the Jesse Ventura years, so I imagine it would do just fine with Franken as a senator.

Just shows what happens to "politicians" when they go head to head with real politicians who actually have to defend themselves in substantive debate before the public.

I'd love to see Bush on Question Time. Be the biggest ownage ever.
