So apparently the electoral court, which from all accounts that I've read is a well-respected institution, is wrong when it says there's no significant evidence of fraud?
Based on that, what those Mexican lawmakers did today was childish at best and, at worst, an insult and deliberate slap in the face to true democracy. Insofar as I'm concerned, the leftists/populists there are bordering on just being as bad with respect to elections as our own homegrown authoritarian-minded right-wingers. Gatekeeper |

Gatekeeper On the contrary, I think their intentions are more serious. They intend to overthrow the "government" of Mexico. Stay tuned. |

This will prompt new elections where all parties will do their best to prevent the others from frauding. |

I don't support what Obrador is doing. While the election was probably not totally clean, it was still a three way race, and even iof Calderon won, he certainly would not have a clear majority to rule, allowing the PRD, whcih is even newer than PAN, to possibly either obstruct any policies they really disliked, or could work with PRI to get laws passed in spite of a continued PAN precidency. Obrador's general stance does not help democracy in Mexico.
