Does anybody else think this is just wrong? I mean... its not so much that they are making a film about people who can genuinely be thought of as heros.. But more an issue that these people's lives are being dramatized when their living relatives are still alive, and (presumably) still mourning? Its not the story.. its the timing.. It just seems wrong. Either way, your thoughts are appreciated. |

Yeah, but its too bad that we've sunk to the level of trying to make money off a national tragedy less than five years after said event.
Granted I suppose they were making WWII movies right after the conclusion of the war, but I don't think they used real stories for them.. They focused on American bravado rather than individuals who had died. |

I was just thinking of that movie. It came out in 1944, only 2 years after the brothers were killed, and still one year before the war ended. That being said, it is now acknowledged that it was ultimately a propaganda flick.
I'm a little uneasy at the prospect of any of the 9/11 movies. God alone knows what take Stone will have on the events in his movie. |

Ebert's review:
