Default Do You Carry An Umbrella?
Sometimes in the rain. When I first moved to Jacksonville, before I got used to the heat, I would carry an umbrella to shade me from the sun.

I follow in the footsteps of the great Mr. Fun...I keep one in my car. I never use one in the sun, and only most times when it rain. But sometimes, I like the feel of rain on my head.

Wasn't it the Chirelles who sang:

I want him. I need him.
And some day--whoa whoa whoa--I'll meet him.
He'll be kinda shy,
And real good lookin' too.
And I'll be certain he's my guy,
By the things...he...likes..to..do.

Like walkin' in the rain.
And wishin' on the stars up above,
And bein' so in love.

No, even in rainy Vancouver.

Had a big blue jacket with a hood on it.

Not the best solution, but I hated losing the umbrellas.

A good umbrella is a multi-purpose tool.

It keeps the rain or sun off your head.
It functions as a cane.
You can use it as a sword or spear to keep ruffians at bay (what ho, ne'er-do-well!)
You can pick up trash and other stuff from the ground.
You can scare flocks of birds into flight and crash those Nazi planes that are chasing you and your son.
You can prod the ground ahead and locate the quicksand before you fall in.
You can use the hook handle to grab a tree and pull yourself out of the quicksand if you forgot to prod first.
You can use it to pull your friend out of the quicksand that he fell into because he didn't bring an umbrella.
You can use the hook handle to slide to freedom down a handy wire when the zombies invade your building.
If you paint a spiral on top you can twirl it around an hypnotize enemy spies into revealing where they've hidden the antidote to the poison you drank after they surreptitiously slipped it into your lime rickey.

Umbrellas. Good stuff.

If I suspect rain, I will carry one. So as per sods law...if I think it is going to rain, I will carry one and it will stay dry...if I don't take one in glorious sunshine, it is guaranteed to piss it down
