I had a great day yesterday. Finally got internet hooked up at our new house. One of my friends from POP was online. We chatted and he asked for the new number. LAter, his mom (Altagracia) called me to congratulate us on the new house and enquire after our well-being.

She is a great lady, so nice, and a testament to Dominican hospitality and kindness.

Made my day!

I'd like to send her and her family a care package. They will be in Virginia in October staying with mutual friends, so I will send it there. Any ideas of what to give a Dominican family that has it all?
