HMV on Robson, Adagio Jazz & Classics on Main Street. Thats pretty much it.

Amanda is constantly bringing home stacks of good used CD's from Audiopile, on Commercial drive. They don't always have a huge jazz selection, but its good for filling in holes in the collection at around $7 or $8 a pop.

You won't find anything there since I clean them out! No.. you can find some good ones, but not a tonne of selection.

I know this isn't what the questioner was looking for, but there are occasionally some good deals on jazz recordings on iTunes.

A few months ago, they had a sale on Blue Note recordings for $7 or $8.

Currently, they have 40 jazz recordings on sale for under $8. These include the recent Brad Mehldau Trio Live release, a double album set. I would have preferred the old-fashioned CD, including the liner notes, but this was too good a deal to pass up.

iTunes also this year improved the sound quality of the music available for download, so it doesn't sound as flat and tinny as it used to.
