Apparently Book has a vengeful streak in him......"pay him a visit" To do what? Threaten him? Beat him up? Slice his car tires and run away? Put a bag of doggie doo on the door step, light it and ring the doorbell and then run away? Or what?

It would be interesting to know if that scumbag pulled other claims before.

A sting operation? If you had time and a friend to help out, the friend could call the guy and arrange a meeting at a local restaurant. He can record the conversation... even set up a camera. Have key questions planned. Get his license to "verify" his address for any correspondence.

When he tries to blackmail your friend, thinking it is you, he is toast.
