I only edit mine for spelling (or when my eyes are foggy from looking up and seeing those awful Bengal uniforms) but yeah I know what you mean.

I myself have become such a absolutist in some regards to the folks that I will readily admit I am not the most compassionate, nor eloquent, when responding to folks. I think what I have seen more with posts being deleted and threads closed is that sometimes I tend to rail more at people out of exasperation when they come back to proudly tell us that they will not take advice. I am as guilty as anyone of letting em have it(probably more so in fact as of recent). I guess there are times I should just keep my trap shut.

I dont think you should keep your mouth shut ... i think the moderator should allow members to have these debates without the petty interference

when i first came here there was no moderators except the website owner who didn't get involved much .. the only problem was spam
nobody gave a **** about swearing or heated debates

now we have someone closing, deleting and editing threads

I closed the thread, it was serving no purpose here. In fact As I remember it is the first thread I have closed.

When peeps come here to inflame others is one thing, peeps having several user names with same ip address is another.

It's still free speech here, and there is a professed cheater you can have a healthy debate with.

Doofus did nothing wrong. I agreed with his comments.

Markus, I will review the link. It is best we talk through PM. But any decision I or the other mods make, we don't do without a reason. It may not be one you agree with, and that is okay. That's what adults do, they disagree sometimes. But please don't believe that I do things for the hell of it, everything I do is done with thought to what is best for this site as a whole. It is one of the few sites devoted to the protection of the victims of infidelity.

I do delete and edit threads. I have also refused posters request to delete or edit posts and threads. There have been posters who have gone to the web master because I have refused to delete their things. So to assume it is all us is a bit premature. My only advice would be this...we are a volunteer group. We have lives outside of here and we have each chosen to stay on and help those in need and wish it.

If this site is no longer of help to you(in general), then maybe it is time to move on. Healthy debate isn't an issue here. It has always been a place for that and still is.
