Default Computer Help?
I usually would just delete these folders but since they are located in the sensitive place of C:/Windows...i thought i should ask and see if anybody could help me out and see what they are..
There are 146 folders, all hidden and compressed. With a 40 gig main hdd i am just trying to open some space and these folders total 1.08 gigs.
the first one is inside one of the main folders

the second one is a shot of most of the folders

This one is showing the properties of all folders selected

any and all help would be appreciated
just trying to keep the space consumption down

yeah dont delete any files directly located in that folder. i suggest an external hdd to store all ur pictures and movies and music. theyre fairly cheap too. my 80GB was like $80 on sale 2 years ago. u can do a lot better in price now.

NEVER delete any files/folders/scraps located in Windows folder. If you do so, your computer will just crash and eventually you will have to restore it. Thats why they are hidden and WINDOWS is in caps

Windows 98? Don't remember Windows needing over a gig in one folder alone.

Makes more sense but I still don't see why it's holding a gig in those hidden files. You would have to highlight a thousand folders to get a gig in Windows give or take. When was the last time you checked for worms? They collect data.

I have more than 3 gigs in my Windows folder. Most of which in there are Windows Update and program installers.
Actually, some files in the Windows folder are safe to delete.

Snap, just noticed he highlighted all of windows. Though he was doing just a sub folder.
