Default Favorite type of toilet seat.
I'm borrowing a page from Naga's old playbook, and posting a lighthearted off the wall topic for everyone's amusement.
I figure most of us spend a fair amount of time in the throne room. Some read, some listen to music, some meditate, and some even talk on the phone. since so much seems to be going in, I'm curious as to which kind of seat best suits your fancy.
Personally I do enjoy a nice matt padded seat. they are soft and they stay just the right temperature year round (no nasty cold seat surprises in the winter time - if you know what I mean).
So what do you like and why?

I don't use toilet seats.

Welcome to the world of Chinese Toilets.
Speaking of toilets, there's a restaurant in Taiwan with a toilet theme. The ramen is served in toilet-shaped bowls and the seats are all toilets.

That would be a Smart Toilet, i want one too, the washer mechanism electrically retracts from the inner bowl and the spray pressure as well as the water temperature can be adjusted; water drainer that pumps out the water so when youre "dropping the kids in the pool" you dont end up with poopy/pee-ey butt; 2-mode flusher, normal flush & light flush to save water; automatic toilet seat that lifts up & goes down on its own, can also be operated by remote and set-up like an alarm clock to lift up when you wake up in the morning; anti-clog system, theres a garbage-disposal-like apparatus; Theres an odor ventilator inside the bowl that circulates warm fog, so serve chile with confidence; anti-overflow system; the temperature of the heated toilet can be adjusted; some models have optional built-in cordless phones, seat that doubles as a scale w/ body fat scanner, entertainment tray (adjustable tray in front so you that can hold magazines & MP3 players, has a built in TV & FM tuner), speakers..you name it; heres the icing on top of the cake..some models can actually raise up to an adjustable height to accomodate various heights of people, and can actually raise all the way up to 2ft and tilt forward to become a urinal..i didnt look this up i actually had all this information in my head..creepy

If you cant afford $7500 and still want to be cool, settle for an aircraft carbon fibre seat for $200?

Not only those heated seats are fancy, they are quite effective as well. I've had the great pleasure of using one and it felt really good
I do spent quite a bit of time, as Santeno delicately put it, in the throne room...not exactly sure how long in a day on average, but defn. exceed the alotted 48 mins. (kidding of course)

Absolutely true. My grandparents had this one bathroom that was like a spa. The thing was bigger than most people's bedrooms. It was a truly disturbing place to "meditate" in. Something about the size always made me feel like someone was about to walk in. What can I say, I'm like a cat, private about such matters.

Personally, I hate the bathroom in my home. There's a mirror facing you on the opposite wall and I hate seeing the faces I make when I do my business, it's quite distracting. I sometimes am forced to put a towel on my head so I don't get distracted by the faces I make.
