well i dont know how many people saw this, but i just got back from it. im a big fan of the love bug and herbie goes to monte carlo, because i like to think thos emovies are what got me into liking cars (ive been watching the whole series as long as i can remember, but bananas and rides again, really dont have much to do with cars, but just herbie and his adventure) well as i was saying i just came back from fully laoded, and am very dissapointed. before where herbie was lovable, but also fast, and to everyone on the outside looked like a normal beetle theyve completely destroyed it. he whimpers, its not beeps anymore, he makes these noises that made me want to go insane, plus he has eyelids and a bumper that droops or lifts when ehs sad or happy, and i know this movie of course is fake, but c'mon disney, lets pretend like theres some reality in it, which is that even if the car was "alive" it couldnt bend its bumper, and return it back to normal, even living cars have their own limitations. luckily for disney bananas was not only the worst love bug, but possibly one of the worst movies of all time, and at least htis had a thing or two to do with racing, it jsut was a dissapointment how they made herbie from something that was believable, to something that little kids really cant even belive in. plus they made herbie to human, like his headlights move like eyes and they have these camera views where your in his eyes, i eman in the other movies they didnt necearily see his as a living thing, he was a machine that somwhere on the assembly line, love and something "special" seeped in, now its like hes some sort of life form. i dont know, although i wasnt crazy about the nascar biz part i was happy they at least kept racing involved, although i thought a much mor eherbie like motorsport would have been an scca event, and pushing maybe like alms type thing, but how they portrayed him really blew me off, overall id have to say the best part of the film is the beginning where they recap herbies history, and i found that pretty cool, and the soundtrack which is all this 70's and 80's stuff
btw anyone know the name of the theme song fromt eh original heribve, or where i could find it or something, its not the opening but closing hteme in the original
