Treated so much you get a chloride after taste. Tap water in a Britta filter FTW. Just this side of the country the water is very hard so tastes like crap without a filter anyway.
Tap water down in the south is pretty atrocious. Tastes fine up here

for those who dont know the running `joke`:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3523303.stm

Soft drink giant Coca-Cola has admitted it is selling purified tap water in a bottle.
It says the source for its new Dasani bottled water is the mains supply at its factory in Kent. and someone who used to work there said they basically had a huge water filter and poured tap water in one end and then fill the bottles to sell - and they didnt even need to ever change the filter the water was that good

No lol. We had a running joke years ago that it was Tidy Sammy's dad, a pro lawnmower racer. I wish I could find the original pic that the sig was made from, it's disturbing/funny...
Is it that one? http://p4.focus.de/img/gen/Q/G/HBQGA...en_r_Ax354.jpg

Consider this....

Any water source is recycled, Our sewage always finds its way out to sea. Your drinking your own piss anyway you look at it.

[thumbup]
I model Wastewater systems for a living i prefer this version

Similar things can be said for rain water as well as that abstracted (love the use of the word for that meaning) from groundwater.

so where do you think tap water comes from then ? glacial formations resovoirs that are formed naturally from artesian wells ?

most of its reclaimed
Where I live our water comes from very large fresh water lakes which are then filtered. We have fresh water lakes all over Australia. I don't think any of it is recycled waste (like crap and urine). There was a debate to do this but was turned down in favour of desalination plant.

In Australia they put flouride in our drinking water. Can't remember the reason, something to do with helping our teeth. Either way a study showed that our tap water is healthier then bottled water. That was a while ago however.

BSE is not a viral, bacterial or fungicidal infection its prion based, so unless you incinerate it you cant change its properties?
Thats what makes BSE/ CJD so dangerous.

lol I made that sig for you years ago but unfortunately I didn't keep the full image.

However, Google appears to have some cached version somewhere:
