Hey, don't underestimate their power. They were able to prevent people from using their credit cards for a day. Can't remember what card though. Maybe Master Card? And they where hitting other major websites pretty hard like paypal and visa and being very successful.
Their are groups in Russia that have been able to shut down all internet inside their old smaller satellite nations for days.

Their power? HAHAHA [rofl]

Their only successful attacks were MasterCard/Visa (same day) and the Westboro church. They only got the websites for MC and Visa and did nothing to interrupt actual service. They failed immensely when it came to Paypal and Amazon which went by completely unnoticed. Not very impressive for "9,000 hive minded people."

I think you misunderstood - my point was that people immediately were going 'OMG ANONYMOUS CYBER TERROR OMG HELP BBC OMG' - not that they couldn't do it if they wanted to.
