Default Ug.. im such a consumer *****...
So, here i am, writing on my laptop while waiting in line at Ultimate Electronics, waiting to buy a TV on their pre-black friday sale.

You know, 20 years ago, nobody would have ever thought of something like this.,.. now, you have to get to the store before they open in order to get a place in line for the 3:00PM sale.

It is worth it.. a nice Mitsubishi 60" 1080P for $600.. and our old TV is dead, But damn, i am a consumer *****..

People lined up pre-store sales for things 20 years ago too, just not flatscreen TVs and Computers.

There has always been hype around products that nutty people have been willing to wait for however the internet and mass media just make it far more apparently that all the screwballs camp out. (Plus it increases the flow of people crowding stores because its easier to advertise now)

Fair enough.. i know the employees are looking at us funky, but the savings make it worth it. $400 off isn't a bad price, and i NEED it (ok, i don't need a TV, but this is as close to needing as i can get).. [thumbup]

I just do all the deals online as there are always a ton online. No worries about traffic or the hussle and bussle to find what you wanna before it is gone.

Though, some stores are pretty sweet about Black Friday. Depending on the store (Circuit City did this while they were around) you could do all your Black Friday shopping a month before Black Friday actually came around.
Buy what you want, then if you find it cheaper in a 30 day period, give them the ad and they give you the difference.

My brother bought a TV a while back for some $1,100 a week before black friday. On black friday he found a ad where the TV was like $700. He took it in and he got his money.

I love online shopping too, but I can't imagine buying something this big online.. the shipping would kill.

Actually, i believe it is still a "traditional" DLP, but the picture is just amazing. Going to fill out the voucher online for the free 3D kit ($399 value)... i am not sold on 3D, but for free, why not?

Totally, can't beat free!

Do you have a PS3 (or 3D capable Blu-ray player) to try it out?

Don't beat yourself up about it - you need a replacent TV, you're getting a decent one that should last a few years with new technology and it's saving you a fair whack of money - go for it!
I would!

And I'm one who's tight with a dollar!

Yep! I dont see us using it too much, but i wont argue with the price.

Our Comcast supports 3D, but that is it right now. We got our BluRay before the 3D craze hit. PS3 eventually, but not yet.

I love the deal.. i just hate being the sap that waits 5 hours in line to get it.
