Congrats on wasting money on that POS. What will you use it for, a mobile shitter for your dog?

I like the two-tone and alloys It's on LPG too, wow. I had a lift in one of these once. It's the only car i've been in that got defeated by a hill. That was a 1.0 or 1.1 though, and i think it was a bit knackered. this one looks alright [thumbup]

You don't see many of those on the roads these days, nice but wow at that price . My first ever car was a 1980 Mk1 Ford Fiesta Super Sport. (like this but Black)

It was a good car until a jumped a little humped bridge on the way home from work and the front beam snapped off [shocked] (just to add thought to that price you have paid, I got that car for £600 back in 1990 - 19 years ago )

I could say the same about the amount of money wasted here for bits of silicon stuck on a PCB that is practically worthless after a couple of years.................. [rolleyes]

To be honest, you would struggle to find a Pre 1996 Fiesta that has less rust on it than the one I have bought. Not a spot on it anywhere, and no welding either! The price premium is worth it, especially as cars like that get older, and this wont depreciate!

it looks good and if the engine and transmission are good then 500 pounds sounds alright! I did not read the description of the AH just saw the pictures. I had the opportunity to buy a 1983 (i think it wsas 83) the last year of the first gen rx7 special edition that came with the larger motor that was going to be standard on the 2nd gen.... I did not have the money at the time it was only 750 bucks but it needed a lot of engine work.

Yep, but if I managed to find one with a shell as good as this one, I would expect to pay upto 3x more for it! When this engine needs changing, i'll stick a 2.0 16v Zetec engine in it. That'll shock the other drivers who try to overtake when the poxy 22 year old '1.4' Ghia fiesta shoots off leaving them in the dust on the wrong side of the road! [rofl]

Suspension wise, the XR2 only had over this the lowered springs and stiffer shocks, as my Ghia has already got the rear anti-roll bar.

Looks like a nice buy!

Especially as LPG conversions can cost upto £2000.

Nice bargain you go there, good enough for a second car.
