Default Now that's a lot of snow!

17.77 quintillion miles of snow if my maths is correct.

Makes me glad to live in the South...

Everything that is in white on the map should be donated to Canada.

This weather is not fit for human habitation.

They're anti-aliased 4x sampling?

Because it makes more sense that having random assed borders. Most of the borders on the east coast are cut the way they are because they follows rivers or other geological/geographical formations. But when you have huge swaths of land with no rivers, you just cut them apart with something simple. Hence the straight lines.

I just did some math, and a column of snow 1.7796x10^19 miles long is 1.53 million times the diameter of the Solar System (assuming the disputed 125,000 AU border). Ha.

They are drawn by latitude and longitude. Is it Colorado which is the only state with only such borders? I've even visited Colorado but forgotten.

Wyoming is also a geoellipsoidal rectangle.

So it seems. And Utah, being the only such a state which isn't a geoellipsoidal rectangle.

Why do all the place names in America copy names from other countries? Couldn't you be bothered to think up your own names?

Could you not be bothered to come up with a unique user name, rather than copying a word from the dictionary?

My user name isn't a word from the dictionary, it's the name of a character from a popular childrens' TV programme.

OK, what I should have written was "My user name isn't a word from the dictionary.....well it is but that's not where I got it from...., it's the name of a character from a popular childrens' TV programme."

It was IS's post about Rugby, North Dakota that prompted my post. Rugby is a place in England.

It is a lot of snow! I live under the "16" there in Iowa on the map in the OP. About an inch away from beating a record snowfall set in 1888. Here is a pic of my sidewalk I plowed yesterday. I bought the snowblower about a month ago for 100 bucks. The blower is around 38 years old, and chewed up that snow like a champ!

The path is just a hair over 2ft wide. Snowblower has a 24 inch cut.

This path I had to dig out by hand, its up the hill from that sidewalk so that we can get from our house to our cars, mail carrier can get through, etc.
