I saw a thread in another forum where people posted the technology or gadgets they've bought on the present day, so I thought it might be a good idea to post a thread here - especially when i've just bought something.

I would say it'd be better if people posted photo's of their product when they've recieved it, but I say either way.

I'll start off - i've just bought this beauty:

Intel X-25M 80GB SSD drive

Now time will tell if the transition from a HDD to an SSD will prove to be the bells and whistles people claim it to be. [yes]

So, who else bought or recieved something?

Nothing today, I am almost at the point where I am buying a laptop. But I am thinking if I can wait til after xmas, there will be better deals ( want a Core i7 ) I have totally given up on desktop pc, its too damn noisy and bulky to have a high end nowadays. Coupled with the ever decreasing choice in games and I just cannot justify it.

An Apple Magic Mouse arrived this morning. It's a bit weird, but I reckon once I'm used to it then I'll love it.

And a memory stick shaped like a key is due to arrive at some point today.

Absolutely nothing exciting at all.

My work phone (HTC Touch Pro) died over the weekend. Found out from Vodafone that im eligible for a free handset upgrade. So looked around on their website and am getting a HTC HD2 delivered tomorrow:

Built a new rig over the weekend:

CoolerMaster Sniper full ATX case
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 mobo
i7 920 cpu w/CoolerMaster V8 sink
6Gb Corsair Dominator 7-7-7-20
Corsair 750w PSU
Windows 7

My eVGA GTX 295 Superclocked should be here today or tomorrow (using my old 8800GTX right now). Re-used my old HDD, sound card and optical drives. This is my first full ATX case, so it's kind of large, but it's unreal how quiet this case is compared to my old Lian Li with all of the 80mm fans in it. [shocked] Also bought Fallout 3, which I spent hours playing yesterday...

I helped a friend clean out a house he is planning on renting over the weekend.

He sold me two a/d/s 10"s for $20. Then gave me an a/d/s P450.2 and a PS5.

Also gave me a Carver TFM-25. He claimed one of the channels was weak. It hasn't screwed up on me yet. There is a service bulletin I need to do on it though, have to swap a bunch of resistors.

SE C902 from Ebay for winning bid of £62.09, I wanted a step up from the k800i for music.
Sold my "old" samsung omnia on ebay for £150.

Bluetooth Stereo rechargeable headset for listening to my Music with the above, £20, new from ebay.

Pulsar Challenger GS 1X20 Super CF Night vision monocular with Headkit.
(Wanted it for work).

ATN 450mw Infrared Illuminator for the above scope.

Not that you'd call them tech or a gadget, but I bought some Pug 306 lexus (chav) rear lights from ebay for £30.

Should get them at the end of this week.
