Technically you should either buy two copies or the Family pack which was $50 and comes with 5 licenses. I am surprised that the store you went to didn't have any, most of the copies left when I went on my lunch break on Friday were the Family packs. |

There's another review here also :-
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...nchmarks&num=1 Performance overall is hugely improved, but there are some obvious OpenGL regressions. |

Shame my iMac Extreme 24" can't use OpenCL due to the AT video card. Apart from that it definitely feels more responsive, which is quite a feat considering it already made using Windows feel like walking through mud. Quick question, since they didn't have any family packs, I simply bought two copies to install, one for my iMac and the other for the MBP. I don't recall there being any CD Key or registration, so did I really need two copies? |

I don't recall there being any CD Key or registration, so did I really need two copies? With that said, there is no key, registration, etc. so take it as you will. The OS is a total screamer though, extremely fast. The only issue I have run into so far is no Digidesign CoreAudio Manager support to bus the computer audio to my DigiRack but Digi is always behind the curve when it comes to support for new operating systems. |

I do love it but it's started to niggle now with a few bugs.
iWeb crashed on me earlier but thankfully I hadn't changed much from my last save to it going down. Strange alerts when installing nearly all of my Garageband Jam packs. ![]() (I think this happened when the "Register" window would pop up during installation.) Other than that and the same complaint Lazerbase has about openCL, it is a fine OS. My iMac is so much faster on bootup and loading apps that it is worth the early release bugs. ![]() EDIT - I did a fresh install of Leopard on my hackintosh and the speed bump isn't just a placebo effect. The hackintosh running 10.5.8 is far slower than my iMac running Snow Leopard. They used to be pretty much on par before when running 10.5.8. |

If I did a hackintosh do does things like scrolling with 2 fingers on the mouse pad work? then grabbing with 3 fingers show you windows open, etc?
I would like to give OSX a go, but I'm sorry apple, I'm just not going to pay $1800 AUD for your cheapest laptop. Apples pricing isn't competitive... I'm not going to be taking a leap of faith at that price. I know the Dell mini 9 apparently works perfect with OSX. So I have thought about it, and that's now less than $500 AUD. |
