Default now RIAA goes after bloggers ( and linkers)
Fresh off a court victory against Google's YouTube, ASCAP tells us it is setting its sights on users of the video-sharing site. Welcome to the exciting world of copyright licensing, blogger; you may already owe gobs of money,

Those contexts now include a YouTube video embedded on your blog or website, assuming your site is not "purely" non-commercial and is deemed large enough by ASCAP. The group just sent a collection letter to internet entrepreneur Jason Calacanis (pictured) for YouTube videos embedded on his Mahalo reference site http://gawker.com/5310339/embedding-...in-ascap-bills

there ya go - link a you tube video anywhere (including here) and YOU will be chased for the multi million dollars in `lost revenue`

LOL! There is no way this will succeed, they're honestly trying to look for cash they simply WILL NOT find, instead hit up high debt for various webmasters

This is retarded. If they want the video removed they need only contact youtube and have it removed, thus making the link useless. Set sail for fail!

So while ThePirateBay is innovating, possibly allowing its legal users to be PAID for their connections...the RIAA is busy doing what it knows best...crying like a baby and suing everyone in sight.

It's how corporations earn their money. Sue everyone you can. File random patents for crap and then sue people over it. Some companies pretty much live off lawsuits.
