After the initial thrill and optimism of moving in things will change.

Parties will get on your nerves as people make lots of noise walking back to their place.

The pool will be a sausage fest, as guys hang out all day waiting for the rare chance a good looking female does venture out into such a public place for a swim.

They will not kick out trouble makers, it's just all too hard.

You will start getting pissed of at the person who parks next to you as they either park to close or scatch your car opening their door. The same person will also have friends who park in your spot because they thought you didn't use it.

There is always a douche who will play a FPS with the speakers and subwoofer turned up to the max late at night.

The couple down the hall will have a shouting match every Saturday night because the girl is a cheater and the guy spends too much time with other girls.

But that's just my perspective from a few years of living in large apartment blocks with swimming pools and BBQ areas. Not envious at all.
Wow! I think you must have lived in the same apartment block I live in. I think your neighbors still do! Everything on that list rang so true for me which goes to prove just how generic apartment living really is. That's not surprising I guess seeing as the last time I watched Office Space I realized that the apartments in the film were identical to the ones I live in same stairs, same entrance, same layout, same cupboards, same fridge, same oven.
