I like the ending in the movie better. This movie really shouldnt have a "happy end".
As far as the "the book is better" thing goes, I was so glad they didnt had any vampires in the movie. The "tone" of the film was so much better than how Neville's life was described in the book. The only thing I liked better in the book was the ending, which basically gave the title some sense after all. Will Smith did a great job though in finding that thin red line between a two fisted army veteran, a scientist who is a strong believer in his own abilities and the hopeless loner, who is slowly becoming crazy. And this movie probably had the scariest scene I have ever watched, the one where he passes Fred whose head looks like its turning. I saw it right away in the movie theatre, and I'm glad someone posted the proof on youtube because I was thinkin that I was becoming crazy, lol. I cant think of another scene in any other movie, that frightened me like that short moment. [rofl] |
