Default Anyone know of a good civil rights movie?
MLK day is coming up and I need a movie to show relating to civil rights or MLK. Does anyone know of any good films or documentaries they have seen about this issue? There must be some popular ones out there.

There is only one proper movie to celebrate MLK day with.

Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood

One of my favorites, although not relating to MLK or actual history, is C.S.A., a mockumentary about how history would have changed if the South won the Civil War. While I don't agree with all of their conclusions, I did find it quite entertaining and engaging.

Other civil rights classics:

Driving Miss Daisy
The Color Purple
Mississippi Burning
Malcolm X

Maybe not a modern civil rights movie but I watched a really good movie called Amistad a couple years ago and I thought it incredible.
