Thought id update this thread for anyone concerned about my progress. I started working out almost 2 months ago and i weighed 128-130 pounds and so far ive gained 15 pounds. I now sit at around 144-145 pounds and i can see definition. I can do so many things better, lifting things is much easier. I usually eat 6 full meals a day and drink 2 protein shakes a day and go to the gym 5 days a week.
So anyone whos small and thinks they cant get big their wrong, just keep at it! (same goes for people who are overweght). For me i find that gaining weight is extremely hard but losing weight is easy! |

Congrats on doing what 90% of Americans do not do. Goodluck! A friend of mine takes creatine along with working out and has put on some weight (not sure exactly how much though) in the past month. |

Well i finally went ahead and did it, i signed up for a gym. Someone made a post about this before but im making it for a completely different reason. I signed up because im tired of being a 6'1 128 pound man with a kids body. Over the past few years ive seen that i have not gained weight out of high school which is normally suspose to happen. ![]() |

Ive never drunk it before. But yea i dont even drink anymore its been a while. Im more focused on protein shakes. All in all ive made alot more improvement then i ever thought possible but it wasnt easy. You have to discipline yourself to work out and eat and take the proper protein shakes everyday. It has to become a lifestyle really to see improvement. But with hardwork anyone can achieve it. you can intake enough protein if you do your daily diet correctly. shakes as a supplementary support yes,but the way you put it across is that its your central part of your diet, what you gonna do drink these shakes for the rest of your life ? ever tried introducing eggs, chicken, pasta, dairy produce and fish into your diet instead of these shite protein shakes. I'm not a mister muscle, but I don't do shakes to me they are a semi placebo, but then again,I don't particularly want to bulk up like most of the "builders" I know who are muscle bound Wind bags |

If you stick it out, and make it more of a lifestyle change as opposed to a simple fad, you'll never not work out again. Since I moved I decided that since I have access to a gym and pool and that I can now walk to work, I would change those things. I do not worry about the weight I lose, in your case you have to gain it. What I do think about is my fitness. The more I think about having to do this and that, and then failing to reach those goals would put me off. So as long as I feel fit and healthy then naturally things start working. I've lost the weight but more importantly I feel much more healthy. The problem is that I've stopped in the last 3 weeks and man my fitness has declined a lot! So I'm actually wanting to go back to the gym so I feel I have more strength and energy. Also it helps when you have chicks swimming in the pool, as I go not only to get fit, but have a perv. ![]() |

You might be drinking the wrong beer. Put down the American piss water and start drinking real beer like Guiness. The extra calories will help give you more energy while working out too http://caloriecount.about.com/calori...ss-beer-i70037 http://caloriecount.about.com/calori...er-beer-i97546 |

Guiness is actually a fairly low calorie beer, similar to American piss water....except lower than a regular, even some lites. So not only does the piss water beer suck, it also is at least as bad for you!! (note the sizes, a pint is about 60% larger than a 12oz can) ![]() |

Ive tried everything from drinking beer and eating pizza everyday, to eating sweets, nothing has helped. And to make matters worse ive often gotten teased about how small i am all the time. Yesterday a friend of mine was talking about his gf and i mentioned how small she was then he mentioned that i dont weigh that much more then her![rofl] That was the final straw, i said to myself this cant go on, im tired of being this small. I Thought that in a few years from high school i would bulk up but it hasnt happend. Now im just glad that i at least signed up and hopefully i can get to a normal body weight. ![]() update: Thought id update this thread for anyone concerned about my progress. I weigh less than most of my friends, including the female ones. I too have started at least getting off my butt more often. Yay us! |

Congrats on doing what 90% of Americans do not do.
I'm 6'4" and I graduated highschool at 155lbs, and that was AFTER gaining about 12lbs from working out for a few years. I weigh about 185lbs now, and I'm comfortable with a lean build, but it took years to get to where I am now. The best advice is to keep at it, and not get frustrated when results do not come right away. If you stick it out, and make it more of a lifestyle change as opposed to a simple fad, you'll never not work out again. |
