Default Anyone with DirecTV DVR
Have to reset their boxes today? When I got up this morning the HD boxes worked fine but the HD DVR boxes would not function properly, I had to restart all of them and wait for them to regather all of the info, etc. Maybe they released a software update last night that hosed them?

Same idea but different providers.

Reading some threads on other forums it seems like it was a widespread issue. So if anyone does use their service make sure your box is functioning and if it isn't you will want to reset it so you don't miss any scheduled recordings.

Yeah, it seemed to have affected all HRxx models. They all froze up this morning and then I think DTV sent out a signal to restart them around noon. Sorry about it missing your recording, I made the thread this morning to try to warn anyone that was a user.

Keep an eye here for when the update their site with the latest full episode. I know the quality isn't that great but at least you will be able to be caught up.

Awesome!!! Thanks for the link! I brought up last weeks episode just to check out the quality. It actually looked quite good! Hopefully they will get the new episode up soon.

Well lookie at the email I just got...

Yeah, I received the same e-mail. It is unfortunate that the lockups happened but at least they sent out an apology, if only my VOIP and internet provider would send out e-mails every time their service went down, I would have a dedicated folder for those. (They went down that same night.)

Yeah same with Charter. Seems like my internet goes down completely or slows to a snails pace at least 2 or 3 times a week. The second that DSL is available at my house charter is going bye bye.

i've got the HD-DVR (hr20 i think) and yeah, mine locked up a couple days ago. I thought it was just a freeze up or somehting, so i did a hard reset.

mutelight, what do you think of that box? I like almost everything about it, but I despise the transport buttons (FF,RW, Skip, Slo mo) especially the slow motion. It's just about the most arcane way to implement slow motion (having to hold the play button for 5 seconds.) It drives me mad when i'm trying to watch football. Is there any way around this? I've got a logitech harmony, and it won't work at all. I've tried different types of macros to no avail,. I also hate how you have to hit exit to clear the timeline. Most every device i've ever used makes the timeline disapear after 3-5 seconds.
