So yeah, I like my massage therapist...
So yeah I have a little thing with this really nice massage chick. She seems to be a little flirty and well can't help be a little flirty too.
My next session is in a month or so and after that there wouldn't be any real need to see her again for therapy for a long time. Now I'm sick of waiting for chances and I'm really slow to pickup signals, and when I analyse the conversation later I realise I might have screwed up some opportunities by responding in the wrong way. Any ideas how I should confront this? I need a plan in my head to make things click and possibly meet her outside of the whole massage thing. The bonus is I have her mobile number, lol. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/blush1.gif |
If you're never going to see her again like you said then you have got everything to gain and nothing to lose in asking her out.

Remember that its in the interest of both of you that things not be awkward and no ones feelings get hurt, so if you ask her and she says no its not like she's going to freak out and slap you and start yelling or anything. If she really isn't interested she will let you know in a subtle way and it will be fine. And if she is interested she will let you know. If worst comes to worst all that will happen is that she will be flattered and your feelings aren't hurt, and you walk out of the office never having to feel embarrassed about it. |
When she's finished, you could try something like -
"Well, I guess I'm no longer your patient" with a smile and, if she's interseted, she may come back with something like "Well, I guess you're not" with a smile, which'll be your cue to say something like "Well, then I guess it's OK to ask you out for a coffee, or something" with a smile and you can take it from there. |
ahh good idea. just casually bring it up sort of.
Thing is she's asked me what I've done and sort of what I do in my spare time. Something tells me I should have thought of something then! |
start texting her. Tell her you forgot the date of your next visit and sort of casually poke at the idea of meeting up outside of her work

Only thing is I never got it till after as I just changed phone number that day, it was on my other phone. At least I know she keeps my number and is willing to use it. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/smile1.gif I now have two business cards of hers and both have her pic. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/blush1.gif |
Tell her how much the therapy helped you and you want to thank her by buying her dinner.

If you already got her number.. then I think you got everything laid out there for ya! Like others said.. just ask to spend some time with her casually.. asking for a cup of coffee is a good start and could be like a friend-to-friend thing rather than a date. And just let the friendship build up from there!

call her up you sissy
|
Don't ask her at work.
Call her up and ask her if she wants to come out with you and some friends for a casual dinner. |
Leave it about 3 days after your last appointment. If she likes you in any way, then she would be thinking about why you haven't called her and when you finally ring her she will be surprised by it all and I think more likely go out.
Just give it a shot, there is nothing to lose out of the situation! |
