Hi guys.
Just purchased my new LCD a while ago, but unfortunately had to lay it flat in transit as It was to big to fit in the car upright. I`ve been told to leave the display upright for 72 hours to let the crystals settle. Now I have heard this before, is there any truth in this matter? If so is 72 hours a correct approximation? to me it sounds a little extreme. Thanks. |

I think whoever told you that confused an LCD with a fridge... Edit: you certainly don't have to let it settle for 72 hours afterwards anyway! |

Nah, that's not strictly true either... The reason they don't recommend lying down plasma screens is due to the fact that the screen is made from glass, which can be prone to breaking if bumped while lying flat. This applies more to ones with huge screens, but if you're careful and the screen isnt' too big there shouldn't be a problem. |
